Bombay Durga Bari Samiti warmly welcomes you and your family to our 96th Sharodotsav. Over five days of grand festivities, immerse yourself in authentic rituals, mesmerizing cultural performances, and a vibrant community spirit. Every moment is a step closer to Maa Durga’s blessings.

Maha Panchami

Maha Panchami marks the welcoming of Maa Durga into our midst. It is the day when the sacred Bodhan ritual awakens the Goddess, symbolising the start of the festivities.

Maha Shashti

On Maha Shashti, Maa Durga arrives in all her glory. The day begins with Maha Shashti Puja, followed by Adhibash rituals, inviting divine energy into the pandal.

Maha Saptami

Maha Saptami signifies the beginning of the main worship. The Nabapatrika Pravesh Puja and Maha Saptami rituals invoke nature’s blessings and celebrate the unity of creation with the Goddess.

Maha Ashtami

Considered the most auspicious day, Maha Ashtami celebrates the triumph of good over evil. Devotees gather for the powerful Sandhi Puja, seeking Maa Durga’s strength and protection.

Maha Navami

Maha Navami marks the conclusion of the main worship. The day’s Kumari Puja honours the divine feminine, and prayers are offered for peace, prosperity, and well-being.

Dashami

Maha Dashami is a day of both joy and farewell. Devotees bid adieu to Maa Durga with Sindoor Utsav, immersion ceremonies, and the promise of her return next year.
